In Primordial Soup, players control amoeboid species that feed on each other's waste, evolving their genes to grow their populations and sophistication. Each round involves movement, feeding, environmental changes, gene purchases, reproduction, and scoring, continuing until a species scores 42 points or cards run out. Genes enhance movement, metabolism, reproduction, attack, and defense.
