In July 1885, you find yourself in the courtroom during Louis Riel's trial for treason, which could determine the fate of Canada. Unlike the U.S., Canada's westward expansion was marked by cultural divisions, notably the rise of the Métis, a group struggling for recognition between Native and White populations. After leading a resistance in Manitoba and returning to aid the Métis in Saskatchewan, Riel was ultimately tried and hanged following the failed North West Resistance.
