In this game, players take on the roles of clan leaders during Easter Island's Golden Age, navigating a simplified map to build and transport massive Moai sculptures. Competing for prestige, clans decide how to allocate their population for sculpting and transporting the statues, utilizing Tribal Markers for influence and the powers of their Chief and Sorcerer. The player who erects the largest Moai in prime locations wins, but note that complete Rongo tablets will not earn points in the final scoring.
