In Schotten Totten, nine boundary stones separate you from your opponent, and you create poker-like formations of three cards in front of each. Winning is achieved by either forming higher-ranking combinations or using logic to claim a stone before your opponent places all their cards. Winning five stones or three adjacent stones secures victory. In 2000, a rethemed version called Battle Line was published, introducing 10 "tactics" cards and card values ranging from 1 to 10. The 2004 edition of Schotten Totten also includes these "tactics" cards.
