While anyone can herd sheep, herding dragons is a different challenge. In Dragonkeepers, you compete as magicians using two stacks of cards called the "Magic Book" to determine how many dragons you can herd. As you take cards, the game changes, but you can cast spells to alter the Magic Book in your favor, posing the dilemma of which dragons to sacrifice for spells.
